Log Cabin Retreat

| This is the log cabin
I dream of retreating to, so I call it the "Log Cabin Retreat."
I envisioned a quiet cabin in the woods with a big fireplace, a beautiful
bed, some wonderful dogs for companions and a magnificent dollhouse.
Then I created it in miniature. That's the beauty of this hobby;
you are completely in charge and there are no rules; like a child's
fantasy, only it's an adult one.
Sue's Bed the Inspiration Sue Sharp of Sharp Mini Designs created the bed for me; the entire room is fashioned around it. The colors were chosen to coordinate with the scenes on the armoire. I built the fireplace; it's a wooden frame with slate put on with mini mortar. I had ordered several fireplaces and none of them came in time, so I made my own. The other fireplaces came in later, but I liked mine better. The dollhouse is by Suzanne Russo. |
